It is bad enough that you have people sitting in jail.

There is absolutely no reason either awaiting trail, or being sentenced to sixty days, or more that if a prisoner wanted to better themselves they should have the chance to earn a GED.

Sheriff should talk to the local community college about how to set up a program at the sheriff’s detention center. If need be refer to sheriff’s posse. I am sure some of those people will be well educated in the fine art of teaching.
